Nine of our AuSable Valley Audubon members attended the Mackinaw Raptor Fest in Mackinaw City on April 8. The programs were varied and interesting, the dinner excellent. Even though the airline had cancelled the flight of the keynote speaker, he was able to “attend” and deliver the presentation on Golden Eagles through modern technology! Visits were made to Headlands Dark Sky Park to see Owl Banding and visit the beautiful new observatory which won the Pure Michigan award for this year. (The observatory telescope is expected to arrive soon.) On the return to Oscoda, some of us stopped at several of “Hotspots” on the Sunrise Coast Birding Trail. The weather smiled on the events as it was warm and sunny!

I hope you have a strong stomach and a loved one nearby to help you start to understand the harm we humans have done to our Mother Earth!
If this video doesn't totally shock you into doing something then, please check your pulse. You are surely near death.
Angry and horrified can not begin to describe how I feel right now. Share this video with 100 friends, co-workers, family, etc. And then quickly learn the "power of One". You have it!
And then, let's all do something to make a change in our own habits and protect our children, our environment, our food-chain, our Planet Earth and in doing so we may preserve all Her creatures - including our own species.
And to the many critics who might say: That video was staged, made-up and is "fake news!" I say, I doubt it. And so what if it was? We know our oceans and waterways are polluted with plastics/garbage, our drinking water is contaminated, our climate is changing in a bad way, etc. The truth is still staring us in the face. So, let's all start doing something about it - Right Now! ...AuSable Valley Audubon shared a post.
