On Sunday, November 6, 2017 a number of Au Sable Valley Audubon members and friends gathered with Thunderbay Audubon members and friends for a delightful evening of Sandhill Crane viewing. A beautiful sunset and mild temperatures as well as a fantastic look at a sickle moon and two planets added to everyone’s enjoyment.<\/p>\n

Prior to observing the cranes, everyone ate dinner at the International Caf\u00e9 . The wide variety of foods offered\u00a0 keeps drawing people back, as do the cranes,year after year.<\/p>\n

The final count of cranes for this fall will take place\u00a0 this week.\u00a0 The initial count which was done in October was 1200+. Check back next week and see what the final count is!<\/p>\n
